Greece – in the north of the Aegean
Sail & Walk and more – a journey with a thousand moments
The Sporades are a dream destination for those who seek the sun, emerald seawater, exotic beaches, green landscapes and the love of nature while not wanting to miss entertainment.
We sail from Skiathos to Skopelos, then to Alonnisos and on to Kyra Panagia – a nearly uninhabited island that only houses a monastery. The islands are located in Europes largest national marine nature reserve. The area has been protected because it is home to one of the rarest mammals in the world: the Monk Seal “Monachus monachus“! Dolphin schools are also concentrated in this region. We will experience the animals in their natural habitat!
The archipelago is perfect for creating a connection between relaxation and active holidays. This combination will be an integral part of our journey with unparalleled nature experiences: while trekking in the shade of pine forests, kayaking expeditions and bike rides, the eclectic bird, butterflies and wildflower world will show their faces on these lush islands. All this is still to be found – only a little away from the tourist centers.
You will learn why Skiathos is called the “Greek Caribbean“, where the Greek national flag was “born“, who lived on the “Castro” rock for more than five hundred years, which is the island of national cultural heritage of Greece, where exactly the Abba movie musical “Mamma Mia” was mainly shot, what still puzzels the archaeologists in the mountains of Skopelos, why the old capital of Alonnisos was for years uninhabited, where there is a “red beach” in the Sporades and whether there are still mini horses of an ancient race?
On our cruise you will encounter Greek history with its traditions and taste delicious Greek food – vegetarians and vegans are also safe with us. We are awaited by the famous Greek hospitality and the sunshine!
